Located in the popular holiday region of Ticino, Lugano is the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.
Visit Castelgrande and Castello di Montebello for their historical value. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Monte San Salvatore and Falconeria Locarno. Go for a jaunt from Lugano to Bellinzona to see Castelli di Bellinzona about 40 minutes away.
