You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mt. Misen and Yamato Museum. Museum-lovers will appreciate Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to JMSDF Kure Museum (in Kure) and Hatsukaichi (Itsukushima Shrine, Daishoin Temple, & more). Wellington, New Zealand to Hiroshima is an approximately 19-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight, taxi, and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Wellington to Hiroshima is minus 3 hours. Traveling from Wellington in June, things will get much hotter in Hiroshima: highs are around 30°C and lows about 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Osaka.

Take a train from Hiroshima to Osaka in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and flight. In June in Osaka, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 22°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) so you can travel to Fuji.

Fuji is a city in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and Kuon-ji Temple will appeal to history buffs. Escape the urban bustle at Mount Fuji and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Explore Fuji's surroundings by going to Marine Station (in Yaizu), Shiraito Falls (in Fujinomiya) and Nishiizu-cho (Otago Beach & Tagosehama Beach).
