Sitting at the foot of an impressive mountain, the city of Chino offers rural and man-made attractions in a wild, remote location.
Venture out of the city with trips to Oshino Hakkai (in Oshino-mura), Fujikawaguchiko-machi (Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, &more) and Fuji-Q Highland (in Fujiyoshida). There's still lots to do: hit the slopes at Kurumayama Highland, appreciate the views at Shosenkyo, steep yourself in history at Tomioka Silk Mill, and explore the activities along Lake Shirakaba.

For maps, traveler tips, where to stay, and other tourist information, refer to the Chino road trip planner.

If you are flying in from Argentina, the closest major aiports are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Toyama Airport and Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport. In September, daily temperatures in Chino can reach °C, while at night they dip to °C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
