Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Explore Tokyo's surroundings by going to Enoshima Island (in Fujisawa), Hase-dera Temple (in Kamakura) and Kamogawa Sea World (in Kamogawa). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Chidorigafuchi and examine the collection at Samurai Museum.

Montreal, Canada to Tokyo is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 14 hours traveling from Montreal to Tokyo. Traveling from Montreal in March, things will get much warmer in Tokyo: highs are around 17°C and lows about 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Tue) so you can catch the train to Nara.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Nara takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In March, plan for daily highs up to 16°C, and evening lows to 8°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Wed) early enough to drive to Kyoto.
