Change things up with a short trip to Tokyo DisneySea in Maihama (about 30 minutes away). Have a day of magic on the 26th (Fri) at Tokyo Disneyland. Getting from Tokyo to Kyoto by train takes about 3 hours. Other options: fly; or drive. In July in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 37°C during the day and 28°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 2nd (Fri) to wrap things up before traveling to Shirahama-cho.

When in Shirahama-cho, make a side trip to see Kumano Observation Deck in Tanabe, approximately 42 minutes away. On the 5th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Osaka.
