Get out of town with these interesting Hobart side-trips: St John the Baptist Chuch (in Buckland) and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (in Brighton). There's lots more to do: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington, take in the pleasant sights at Battery Point Sculpture Trail, steep yourself in history at Cascades Female Factory Historic Site, and indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour.

Step out of Port Arthur to go to Eaglehawk Neck and see Waterfall Bay, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take an in-depth tour of Port Arthur Historic Site, head off the coast to Maria Island National Park, examine the collection at Federation Artisan Chocolate - Port Arthur, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Cape Raoul.
