The capital of the island of Madeira for more than 500 years, Funchal represents a laid-back city made popular by its historical sites and climate.
Step out of the city life by going to Ponta de Sao Lourenco and Cabo Girao. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Swim with Dolphins and Parque de Santa Catarina.
