You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Toguchi no Hama and Sunayama Beach. Visiting Scuba & Snorkeling and Yonaha Maehama Beach will get you outdoors. Next up on the itinerary: stroll through Hora Gyoko no Hama Beach, make a trip to Boraga Limestone Cave, snap pictures at Irabu Bridge, and enjoy the sea views from Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse.

Los Angeles, USA to Miyakojima is an approximately 16-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Get in touch with nature at Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kondoi Beach. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Kayaking & Canoeing and Kabira Ishizaki Manta Scramble. The adventure continues: enjoy breathtaking views from Maesedake Observation Site, tour the pleasant surroundings at Banna Park, take a leisurely stroll along Nishi Pier, and enjoy the sand and surf at Yonehara Beach.

You can ride a ferry from Iriomote-jima to Ishigaki in an hour. In May in Ishigaki, expect temperatures between 84°F during the day and 75°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to travel to Onna-son.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Get some historical perspective at Okinawa Peace Memorial Park and Sefa-Utaki. Escape the urban bustle at Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kouri-jima Island. Get out of town with these interesting Onna-son side-trips: Nakijin Castle Ruins (in Nakijin-son), Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park (in Motobu-cho) and Valley of Gangala (in Nanjo). There's still lots to do: stroll through Diamond Beach, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and look for gifts at Onna Station Nakayukui Market.
