Kyoto International Manga Museum and Hosomi Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Get some cultural insight at Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-ji. When in Kyoto, make a side trip to see Omimaiko Beach in Otsu, approximately 1h 05 min away. A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
