Miyakojima
A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Get in touch with nature at Scuba & Snorkeling and Aragusuku Beach. Relax by the water at Toguchi no Hama and Sunayama Beach. And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach, snap pictures at Irabu Bridge, don't miss a visit to Ikema Ohashi Bridge, and see the vivid underwater world at Yabiji.

Amsterdam, Holland to Miyakojima is an approximately 18.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 8 hours traveling from Amsterdam to Miyakojima. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Amsterdam in July: highs in Miyakojima hover around 37°C, while lows dip to 31°C. Getting from Ishigaki to Hiroshima by combination of flight and train takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: fly. Plan for a bit cooler nights when traveling from Ishigaki in July since evenings lows in Hiroshima dip to 28°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Wed) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.
