Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Yanaka and Ueno are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore hidden gems such as Chidorigafuchi and Tokyo City View Observation Deck (Roppongihills). Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Ghibli Museum Mitaka in Mitaka--about 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Meguro River, don't miss a visit to Shibuya Crossing, wander the streets of Asakusa, and get great views at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

If you are flying in from Netherlands, the closest major airports are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Narita International Airport and Hyakuri Airport.
