Traveling by flight from Singapore to Osaka takes 10 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Standard Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in May, expect Osaka to be little chillier, temps between 29°C and 18°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Sat) so you can travel to Hiroshima.

You can take a train from Osaka to Hiroshima in 2 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of flight and train. In May in Hiroshima, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 18°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Mon) early enough to take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Bring the kids along to Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kinkaku-ji. Change things up with a short trip to Yuenchi Motopia, SUZUKA CIRKIT in Suzuka (about 1h 55 min away). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ryoanji Temple, admire the landmark architecture of Kyutei Omuro, and take in the pleasant sights at Gion.

Take a train from Hiroshima to Kyoto in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 29°C in May, and nighttime lows around 17°C. You will have some time to spend on the 24th (Sun) before leaving for Tokyo.
