Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
On the next day, identify plant and animal life at Kiushito Wetland, witness a stunning natural landmark at Taisho Jigoku, then learn more about the world around you at Toyako Visitor Center, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Zenkoji Temple, and finally contemplate the geological forces at Mt. Usu.

Traveling by car from Furano to Noboribetsu takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train.
