One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Let the collections at Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Museum of Korea capture your imagination. Get outdoors at Cheonggyecheon Stream and Bukhansan National Park. There's still lots to do: stop by Myeongdong Shopping Street, stroll around Namsan Park, wander the streets of Insadong, and shop like a local with Namdaemun Market.

Istanbul, Turkey to Seoul is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Istanbul to Seoul. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Istanbul in July since evenings lows in Seoul dip to 27°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) so you can go by car to Sokcho.

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Fri): head outdoors with Osaek Jujeongol Valley, explore the striking landscape of Seoraksan National Park, and then trek along Biryong Falls. On your second day here, enjoy the sand and surf at Cheonjin Beach, head outdoors with Songjiho Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Bongpo Beach, thentake in the natural beauty of Cheoksan Foot Spa Park, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Naksansa Temple.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 17th (Sun), look for all kinds of wild species at Gyeongju Bird Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, appreciate the history behind Seokguram, thenwitness the site of a historic battle at Gyeongju Eupseong, and finally steep yourself in history at Cheonmachong Tomb. Keep things going the next day: explore the activities along Anapji Pond, thenexamine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, thensteep yourself in history at Gyeongju Historic Area, and finally get outside with Yeongildae Beach.

Traveling by car from Sokcho to Gyeongju takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Gyeongju can reach 36°C, while at night they dip to 26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Haedong Yonggung Temple and Gamcheon Culture Village. Get in touch with nature at Haeundae Beach and Songjeong Beach. Drive from Gyeongju to Busan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 34°C in July, and nighttime lows around 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
We've included these beaches for you: Hamdeok Beach and Sehwa Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Seongsan Ilchulbong.
