The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Head to Dotonbori and Ippuyafor plenty of shopping. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Kirihama Beach and Amore Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Kyoto: Nara Park (in Nara) and Osaka (Osaka Castle & Universal Studios Japan). The adventure continues: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, shop like a local with Nishiki Market Shopping District, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Kyoto is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 5 hours traveling from Dubai to Kyoto. Traveling from Dubai in August, things will get a bit cooler in Kyoto: highs are around 39°C and lows about 29°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) so you can catch the train to Nagoya.

Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Shop till you drop at Sakae and Oasis 21. Explore Nagoya's surroundings by going to Hikone Castle (in Hikone), Ise Grand Shrine (in Ise) and Inuyama Castle (in Inuyama). And it doesn't end there: look for all kinds of wild species at Cherry Trees along the Gojo River bank, explore the world behind art at Tokugawa Art Museum, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, and examine the collection at SCMAGLEV and Railway Park.

Traveling by train from Kyoto to Nagoya takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Kyoto, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Nagoya, ranging from highs of 29°C to lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Tokyo.

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ginza and Kimono Me. Visit Moroiso Shores and Akiya, Tateishi Coast for some beach relaxation. Step out of Tokyo to go to Fuji and see Nature & Wildlife Tours, which is approximately 1h 55 min away. Next up on the itinerary: wander the streets of Odaiba, make a trip to Tokyo Tower, enjoy breathtaking views from Tokyo Skytree, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sensō-ji.

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
You'll get in some beach time at Gongenmori Beach and Chirihama Nagisa Driveway. For shopping fun, head to MIKOTO Tea House or Gallery Otera. When in Kanazawa, make a side trip to see The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go Gassho Style Houses in Shirakawa-mura, approximately 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Kenrokuen Garden, explore the world behind art at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, contemplate the long history of Nomura Family Samurai House, and take a stroll through Nagamachi Neighborhood.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kanazawa in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in September, and nighttime lows around 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Thu) so you can travel to Fukuoka.

The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Fri): get to know the fascinating history of Nijino Matsubara, take in the pleasant sights at Fukuoka Tower, then kick back and relax at Miyajihama Beach, then stroll through Ohori Park, and finally browse the different shops at Tenjin Underground Shopping Center. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Kushida Shrine, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Dazaifu Temmangu, then stroll through Komyozen-ji Temple, and finally kick back and relax at Fukuma Beach.
