Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Appreciate the collections at Tokyo National Museum and Edo-Tokyo Museum. Your inner history buff will appreciate Sensō-ji and Hase-dera Temple. Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Ghibli Museum Mitaka in Mitaka--about 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Odaiba, admire the landmark architecture of Tokyo Tower, admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and make a trip to Imperial Palace.

Berlin, Germany to Tokyo is an approximately 16.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of train and flight. The time zone changes from Central European Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually an 8 hour difference. In June in Tokyo, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Tue) to allow time to travel to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get some historical perspective at Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-ji. Do some cultural sightseeing at Gion and Sanjusangendo Temple. Get out of town with these interesting Kyoto side-trips: Nara (Nara Park & Todaiji Temple Cultural Center). There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ryoanji Temple, steep yourself in history at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and go for a walk through Arashiyama.

The village of Zamami-son in the western Kerama Islands spans four of the islands in the group, one of which remains uninhabited.
We've included these beaches for you: Gahijima Sand Dune and Furuzamami Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Aharen Beach and Aka Beach. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Nishibama Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Hizushi Beach, and see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

You'll get in some beach time at Yonehara Beach and Kondoi Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Kabira Bay and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Spend the 14th (Sun) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
