Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
On the 29th (Wed), get to know the fascinating history of Mirador de San Nicolas. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Monasterio Cartuja, then wander the streets of Albayzin, and then contemplate the long history of Alhambra.

Manchester, UK to Granada is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also take a train; or do a combination of car and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Manchester to Granada is 1 hour. When traveling from Manchester in July, plan for much warmer days in Granada, with highs around 40°C, while nights are somewhat warmer with lows around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Nerja.
