Amsterdam, Holland to Matsue is an approximately 19-hour combination of flight and train. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi. The time zone changes from Central European Time (CET) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually an 8 hour difference. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Amsterdam in July: high temperatures in Matsue hover around 34°C and lows are around 28°C. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Higashiyama Walking Course and Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen. Visit Ainokura Gassho Community and Suganuma Gassho Community for their historical value.
