You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Civita di Bagnoregio and Church of St. Louis of the French. Do some cultural sightseeing at Colosseum and Pantheon. Step out of Rome to go to Orvieto and see Duomo di Orvieto, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santa Maria in Trastevere, and make a trip to Roman Forum.

Sao Paulo, Brazil to Rome is an approximately 15-hour combination of bus and flight. You can also do a combination of bus, flight, and train. You'll lose 4 hours traveling from Sao Paulo to Rome due to the time zone difference. In December, Rome is much colder than Sao Paulo - with highs of 16°C and lows of 4°C.
