A gateway to the island, Hakodate has gained a reputation for its waterfront attractions, its proximity to some of the island's most popular natural sites, and its seafood.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Hakodate: Nanae-cho (Lake Konumako, Onuma Park Walking Path, &more). Sapporo to Hakodate is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 26°C in July, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Tue) so you can drive to Noboribetsu.

You can drive from Hakodate to Noboribetsu in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In July, daily temperatures in Noboribetsu can reach 26°C, while at night they dip to 19°C. You will have some time to spend on the 29th (Thu) before leaving for Rausu-cho.

When traveling from Rausu-cho in July, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Kamikawa-cho: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 21°C at night.
