Ouray is a Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous city of Ouray County, Colorado, United States. On the 4th (Sat), get to know the fascinating history of Ouray County Museum, take in the natural beauty of Wiesbaden Hot Springs Spa, then hike along Bear Creek National Recreation Trail, and finally go deep underground at Yankee Girl Mine. Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
You'll explore and learn at The Anasazi Heritage Center and Durango Fish Hatchery and Wildlife Museum. For shopping fun, head to Toh-Atin Gallery or Scenic Aperture Gallery. Step out of Durango to go to Cortez and see Notah Dineh Trading Company and Museum, which is approximately 52 minutes away.
