You've added Yoyogi Park, Omoide Yokocho, Shibuya 109, and other attractions to your itinerary. You'll explore and learn at Ghibli Museum Mitaka and Art Jeunesse Akihabara. The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Kyoto Station Building and Kyo no Takumi. Get some historical perspective at Nijo Castle and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine. There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take a stroll through Gion, examine the collection at Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts Fureaikan, and contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. April in Kyoto sees daily highs of 22°C and lows of 11°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Sun) to allow time for the train ride to Osaka.

Nara Park and Dotonbori are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Your inner history buff will appreciate Osaka Castle and Todai-ji Temple. Get out of town with these interesting Osaka side-trips: Higashinada (Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum & Kobe Fashion Museum), Todaiji Temple Cultural Center (in Nara) and CUPNOODLES MUSEUM OSAKA IKEDA (in Ikeda).
