Explore Matsuyama's surroundings by going to Furuiwaya (in Kumakogen-cho), Shikoku Karst Onogahara (in Seiyo) and Izumidani Terraces (in Uchiko-cho). There's lots more to do: step into the grandiose world of Matsuyama Castle, identify plant and animal life at Namekawakeikoku, explore the activities along Shirai Fall, and soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens.

A relatively new city, Miyoshi encompasses six surrounding rural districts into one.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Wed): take in the views from Okuiya Niju Kazurabashi Bridge, appreciate the views at Shiozuka Highland, and then indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens. On your second day here, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hashikuraji Temple, contemplate the long history of Kotohira-gu, and then make a trip to Kotohiragu shrine office.
