When in Kyoto, make a side trip to see Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, approximately 1h 15 min away. Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, go for a walk through Arashiyama, see the interesting displays at Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts Fureaikan, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Kyoto is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight and bus. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Kuwait City to Kyoto due to the time zone difference.
