Get some cultural insight at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kinkaku-ji and Eikando Zenrinji Temple will appeal to history buffs. When in Kyoto, make a side trip to see Osaka Castle in Osaka, approximately 1h 10 min away.
