Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Scuba & Snorkeling and Okinawa Peace Memorial Park. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Kouri Beach and Manza Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Onna-son: Nakagusuku Castle Ruins (in Kitanakagusuku-son), Sefa-Utaki (in Nanjo) and Nakijin Castle Ruins (in Nakijin-son). Traveling from Yakushima-cho in May, Onna-son is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) early enough to travel to Miyakojima.

Start off your visit on the 12th (Tue): identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, get outside with Yonaha Maehama Beach, then see the vivid underwater world at Yabiji, then take in the views from Irabu Ohashi, and finally kick back and relax at Toguchi no Hama.
