Singapore, Singapore to Hiroshima is an approximately 10-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Hiroshima. In January, Hiroshima is cooler than Singapore - with highs of 11°C and lows of 2°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) so you can take a train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
On the 20th (Mon), take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en Garden, explore the historical opulence of Himeji Castle, then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura, and finally contemplate the long history of Yoneda Taishiji Temple. On the next day, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jodoji Temple, then make a trip to Shoshazan Engyoji, and then walk around Kunimi no Mori Park.

You can take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Expect a daytime high around 10°C in January, and nighttime lows around 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) to allow time to take a train to Kyoto.

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
Change things up with these side-trips from Kanazawa: Sairin-ji Temple (in Hakusan), Ski Jam Katsuyama (in Katsuyama) and Shirakawa-mura (Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen & The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go Gassho Style Houses).
