Get a sense of the local culture at teamLab☆Planets and KidZania Tokyo. Family-friendly places like Kencho-ji Temple and Hokokuji Temple (Takedera Temple) will thrill your kids. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tokyo: Memorial Warships Mikasa (in Yokosuka) and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (in Kamakura).
