Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes The National Art Center, Tokyo, Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower. Get a sense of the local culture at Odaiba and Harajuku Takeshita-dori. Your inner history buff will appreciate Kōtoku-in and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Start off your visit on the 25th (Sat): take some stellar pictures from Kiyomizu-dera, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fushimi Inari Taisha, and then buy something for everyone on your list at Kyoto Station Building. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 26th (Sun): take a stroll through Pontocho, then take an in-depth tour of Kyoto National Museum, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple.

Traveling by train from Hakone-machi to Kyoto takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and flight. Traveling from Hakone-machi in November, Kyoto is little chillier at night with lows of 48°F. On the 26th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can take a train to Osaka.

You've now added Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum to your itinerary. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sun): shop like a local with Dotonbori. On your second day here, shop like a local with Minami (Namba), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kasuga Grand Shrine, look for all kinds of wild species at Nara Park, then examine the collection at Todaiji Temple Cultural Center, and finally contemplate the long history of Tōdai-ji.
