The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Sat): walk around Maizuru Park, thensteep yourself in history at Fukuoka Castle Ruins, thengo for a walk through Ohori Park, and finally take a stroll through Shintencho Shopping Street.

Seoul, South Korea to Fukuoka is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry.
