Crete's largest city, Heraklion remains best known for its proximity to a sprawling Bronze Age archaeological site, once the center of a vanished Minoan civilization.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Mon): get engrossed in the history at Heraklion Archaeological Museum and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Saint Titus. On the next day, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Cretaquarium - Thalassocosmos, explore the ancient world of The Palace of Knossos, then ponder the design of Morosini Fountain (Lion's Fountain), and finally get a new perspective on nature at The Natural History Museum of Crete.

Located on Santorini's southwestern coastline, the small village of Akrotiri sits just a short walk from one of Europe's most significant Bronze Age archaeological sites.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Perissa Black Sand Beach, then make a trip to Megalochori - Traditional Village, then enjoy the sand and surf at Red Beach, and finally explore the ancient world of Akrotiri. Here are some ideas for day two: examine the collection at Tomato Industrial Museum, then learn about winemaking at Boutari, J., & Son Wineries S.A., then enjoy the sand and surf at Caldera Beach, and finally explore by horseback at Santo Horse Riding.
