The medieval town of Bruges centers around a canal, and the architecture of its historical district has made it a World Heritage Site.

Popular historic sites such as Historic Centre of Brugge and Basilica of the Holy Blood are in your itinerary. Appreciate the collections at Groeningemuseum and Holy Savior Cathedral (Sint-Salvatorskathedraal). Venture out of the city with trips to Ghent (Saint Bavo's Cathedral, Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen Nature Reserve, & more), De Haan beach (in De Haan) and Mariakerke Beach (in Ostend). Kuwait City, Kuwait to Bruges is an approximately 10.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. You'll gain 2 hours traveling from Kuwait City to Bruges due to the time zone difference. Expect cooler temperatures when traveling from Kuwait City in March; daily highs in Bruges reach 11°C and lows reach 2°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Liege.

Although decidedly industrial on the outskirts, Liege also boasts impressive architecture.

Take a break from the city and head to La Roche-aux-Faucons and Bronnenwandeling. Attractions like Forestia and Musee communal de Herstal make great kid-friendly stops. Drive from Bruges to Liege in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sun) early enough to take a train to Brussels.
