Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. On the 15th (Sat), take in the awesome beauty at Ben Nevis, see the interesting displays at West Highland Museum, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Nevis Range Mountain Resort, and finally pause for some photo ops at Commando Monument. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: steep yourself in history at Glenfinnan Viaduct, then don't miss a visit to Neptune's Staircase, then admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall, and finally admire the verdant scenery at Glen Coe.

Family-friendly places like Porthminster Beach and National Lobster Hatchery will thrill your kids. Get in touch with nature at Carbis Bay Beach and St. Michael's Mount. Change things up with a short trip to Trebah Garden in Mawnan Smith (about 54 minutes away). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Perranporth Beach and tour the pleasant surroundings at Fistral Beach Bar.
