Tavira has succeeded at escaping the flood of tourism that has affected other coastal Portuguese towns over the years.
On the 19th (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Igreja de Santa Barbara de Nexe, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Faro Cathedral, then kick back and relax at Praia do Barril, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Cabanas de Tavira beach. On the 20th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Praia da Alagoa and then enjoy the sand and surf at Praia de Monte Gordo.

The allure of the beaches and the town's historical center draw visitors to Lagos, a coastal destination in the Barlavento region of the Algarve.
We've included these beaches for you: Praia da Marinha and Praia Da Rocha. Visiting Praia da Luz and Falesia Beach will get you outdoors. You can do a combination of bus and flight from Lagos to Ponta Delgada in 8.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight. The time zone changes from Western European Time (WET) to Azores Time (AZOT), which is usually a -1 hour difference. While traveling from Lagos, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Ponta Delgada, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 21°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
