Situated at the meeting point of the White and Blue Niles, the sprawling capital Khartoum captivates with its welcoming atmosphere, chaotic marketplaces, and extravagant skyline punctuated with glass towers.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Khartoum: Omdurman (Khalifa House Museum & Nilian Mosque). There's much more to do: browse the different shops at Afra Mall, examine the collection at Sudan National Museum, step off the mainland to explore Tuti Island, and make a trip to Nile Street.
