You can drive from Tokyo to Fuji in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In September, daily temperatures in Fuji can reach 29°C, while at night they dip to 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sun) so you can take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get in touch with nature at Nara Park and Fuuka-Kimono. Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Koyasan Okunoin will appeal to history buffs. Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Dotombori District (in Dotombori), Nigatsu-do Temple (in Nara) and Koya-cho (Kongobu-ji Temple & Koyasan Danjo Garan). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, get great views at Mt. Kurama, contemplate the long history of Tofuku-ji Temple, and don't miss a visit to Eikando Zenrinji Temple.

Traveling by train from Fuji to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. Traveling from Fuji in September, you will find days in Kyoto are a bit warmer (33°C), and nights are about the same (23°C). On the 10th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Okinawa City.

Okinawa is the second-largest city in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, following Naha, the capital city. Kick off your visit on the 11th (Fri): discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, don't miss a visit to Onna Station Nakayukui Market, then head outdoors with Diamond Beach, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Manza Dream Hole.
