Get some historical perspective at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kinkaku-ji. Step off the beaten path and head to Tenryuji Temple and Toji. Get out of town with these interesting Kyoto side-trips: Nara (Nara Park & Nigatsu-do Temple) and Dotonbori (in Osaka).
