Explore Isehara's surroundings by going to Kamakura (Hase-dera Temple, Kōtoku-in, &more), Oshino Hakkai (in Oshino-mura) and Mishima Skywalk (in Mishima). Kick off your visit on the 12th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Heian Shrine, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and then visit Gion. Here are some ideas for day two: make a trip to Nijo Castle, then take in nature's colorful creations at Shosei-en Garden, then contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and finally steep yourself in history at Sanjusangendo Temple.
