Cape Town, South Africa to Luxor is an approximately 16- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or do a combination of flight and train. Expect little chillier evenings in Luxor when traveling from Cape Town in February, with lows around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Edfu.

Kick off your visit on the 7th (Thu): visit Edfu Sound and Light Show, then explore the ancient world of Kanais, and then delve into the distant past at Temple of Horus.
