The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.

Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Thu): enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, then take some stellar pictures from Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple. Keep things going the next day: stroll around Yongdusan Park, then hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, then get great views at Taejongdae, and finally snap pictures at Gwangandaegyo Bridge.

Fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. Expect little chillier evenings in Busan when traveling from Jeju in October, with lows around 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Fri) so you can go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Sat): pause for some photo ops at Seokguram, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple, and then get curious at Silla Arts And Science Museum. On your second day here, get to know the fascinating history of Tongiljeon, examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, then contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, and finally steep yourself in history at Cheomseongdae Observatory.

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Mon): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Seoraksan National Park. On the next day, witness a stunning natural landmark at Cheoksan Foot Spa Park, then steep yourself in history at Gwongeumseong Fortress, then trek along Ulsanbawi Rock, and finally cool off at Seorak Waterpia.
