The country's second city, Cebu City boasts a number of interesting colonial buildings, thriving commercial areas, and historic temples.
Basilica del Santo Nino and Fort San Pedro are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Magellan's Cross and Taoist Temple. Get out of town with these interesting Cebu City side-trips: Lapu Lapu (Gaisano Grand Mall Mactan, Island Central Mactan, & more). There's still lots to do: get a taste of the local shopping with Ayala Mall and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
