In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
On the 1st (Sat), explore the ancient world of Chiesa Paleocristiana di San Lorenzo and then let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour. Here are some ideas for day two: delve into the distant past at Teatro Romano, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Fenis, and then examine the collection at Forte di Bard.
