Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Sado is an approximately 22-hour flight. The time zone changes from Gulf Standard Time (GST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 5 hour difference. When traveling from Dubai in July, plan for colder days and little chillier nights in Sado: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 26°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Kashiwazaki.

The port city of Niigata has an association with tourism, but not really one to do with the city itself.
We've included these beaches for you: Sekiyahama Beach and Nishikaigan Park. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Niigata Furusatomura and Yahiko Shrine. Go for a jaunt from Niigata to Tsubame to see Stock Busters, Tsubame about 46 minutes away. There's much more to do: enjoy breathtaking views from Befco Bakauke Observatory Room, appreciate the extensive heritage of Yasuragitei, get engrossed in the history at Niigata Prefectural Government Memorial Hall, and snap pictures at Bandai Bridge.
