Sheltered in an inlet of Lake Wakatipu, the resort town of Queenstown enjoys a strong reputation for its adventuring and skiing opportunities.

On the 1st (Fri), identify plant and animal life at ZEALANDIA Sanctuary, take in nature's colorful creations at Wellington Botanic Garden, take a memorable ride with Wellington Cable Car, then get engrossed in the history at Wellington Museum, then get engrossed in the history at The Great War Exhibition, and finally admire nature's wide array of creatures at Wellington Zoo. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Tonga Island Marine Reserve, get outside with Great Alpine Highway, ponder the world of politics at New Zealand Parliament, get a taste of the local shopping with Cuba Street, then identify plant and animal life at Staglands Wildlife Reserve, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at Kereru Brewing Company.
