Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Times Square and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Take a break from the city and head to Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and East River Waterfront Esplanade. Step out of New York City to go to Valley Cottage and see Hook Mountain State Park, which is approximately 50 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the pleasant sights at Central Park, get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour, take in panoramic vistas at Empire State Building, and learn more about the world around you at American Museum of Natural History.
