Your inner history buff will appreciate Kencho-ji Temple and Zojo-ji Temple. Do some cultural sightseeing at Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and Hase-dera Temple. Change things up with these side-trips from Tokyo: Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 (in Minatomirai) and Ghibli Museum Mitaka (in Mitaka). Sitting on the southwest slopes of Mount Fuji, Fujinomiya makes a popular starting point for climbing trips to the famous mountain's summit.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, thentake a peaceful walk through Miho Seacoast (Miho no Matsubara Beach), thensteep yourself in history at Okitsu Zagyoso, and finally contemplate the long history of Satta-toge Pass. Keep things going the next day: get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Tensho Kyosha Shrine.

You can take a train from Fujinomiya to Kyoto in 3.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or fly. Traveling from Fujinomiya in November, expect little chillier with lows of 10°C in Kyoto. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Osaka.
