Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Take a break from the city and head to Yonehara Beach and Cape Hirakubozaki. Spend the 27th (Tue) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Kondoi Beach, look for gifts at Yurateiku Market, take an in-depth tour of Ishigaki Yaima Village, and Head underground at Ishigaki Island Limestone Cave.

Manchester, UK to Ishigaki is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 9 hour difference. Kick off your visit on the 29th (Thu): kick back and relax at Hora Gyoko no Hama Beach, then kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Tomori Imugya Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 30th (Fri): tour the pleasant surroundings at Yonaha Maehama Beach and then kick back and relax at Sunayama Beach.

Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Kyoto: Nara (Todaiji Temple Cultural Center & Nara Park).
