You can take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In November, daily temperatures in Kyoto can reach 19°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Osaka.

Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Nigatsu-do Temple and Dotonbori. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Yakushi-ji Temple and Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. When in Osaka, make a side trip to see Nara Park in Nara, approximately 54 minutes away.

Osaka is just a short distance from Kyoto. In November in Osaka, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 10°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Wed) early enough to travel to Tokyo.

Popular historic sites such as Kashima Jingu and Kanda Myojin are in your itinerary. Step off the beaten path and head to Hokokuji Temple (Takedera Temple) and Kokyo Gaien National Garden. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Oyama Afuri Shrine (in Isehara), Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (in Kamakura) and Atami (Kinomiya Shrine & Atami Sun Beach). Enjoy Tokyo some more: wander the streets of Kabukicho and take in the views from Nihonbashi Bridge.
