On the 17th (Thu), have fun and explore at Kids Plaza Osaka, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Hozenji Yokocho, then take a stroll through Dotombori District, and finally get a taste of the local shopping with Minami (Namba). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: step into the grandiose world of Osaka Castle, see the interesting displays at Mint Museum, then contemplate the long history of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, and finally shop like a local with Hankyu Umeda Honten.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Tenryuji Temple and Toji. Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Eikando Zenrinji Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's much more to do: make a trip to Nijo Castle, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, take in nature's colorful creations at Nanzen-ji Temple, and steep yourself in history at Tofuku-ji Temple.

Taketomicho Iriomote-Jima stands as the second largest island in Okinawa.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Wed): take in the dramatic scenery at Pinaisara Falls and then take a memorable tour with Tours. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 24th (Thu): head off the coast to Iriomote Island, then enjoy the sand and surf at Hoshisuna Beach, and then glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

Getting from Kyoto to Iriomote-jima by combination of flight and ferry takes about 7.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. In September, Iriomote-jima is somewhat warmer than Kyoto - with highs of 89°F and lows of 79°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Thu) so you can ride a ferry to Ishigaki.

On the 25th (Fri), kick back and relax at Kondoi Beach, stroll around Banna Park, then get outside with Yonehara Beach, then enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Tamatorizaki Observatory. On the 26th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for gifts at Yurateiku Market, then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then stroll around Kabira Park.
