A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Step off the beaten path and head to Yabiji and Toguchi no Hama. Step out of the city life by going to Aragusuku Beach and Sunayama Beach. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach, snap pictures at Irabu Bridge, visit a coastal fixture at Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse, and look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas.

On the 16th (Sun), kick back and relax at Yonehara Beach, then enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Tamatorizaki Observatory.
